March 24, 2020 - Mayor's Notice
Dear Residents,
Covid-19, Coronavirus, continues to affect us all. We ask that everyone be patient during this trying time. I’d like to share the following information with you.
I am in daily contact with the Madison county health department. Commissioner Cook has been very helpful in keeping the staff ahead of the Covid-19 virus.
On Friday March 13, I met with the Village department heads to discuss what we can do to curb the spread of this virus. As of now, the community center activities are closed.
To protect both the public and Village Employees, Council will be adopting the following temporary policy to protect the health of Village Employees. Read it HERE.
Utility Bills
To pay your utility bill, please consider not coming directly into the office. Your options for payments are:
-
Mail your utility payment.
-
Place your payment in the door slot or drop box.
-
Pay with a credit/debit card by calling (614) 879-8655 [option 1]. There are no fees associated with paying by credit/debit card. The Village does not keep credit/debit cards on file.

We will continue to follow the federal guidelines for taxes due. At this time, all taxes are still due by April 15th. Income tax forms can be found HERE. Completed Income Tax forms may be mailed, dropped off in the door slot or drop box. For additional information contact the Income Tax Department at (614) 879-9757.
The police department is working with the county and other agencies to ensure public safety. The Village police are operating under these guidelines:

There is no public admittance to the Police Station.
-
The police are not responding directly to homes except in the case of emergencies.

And finally, in light of the latest efforts to curtail the virus by Governor Dewine, I would ask that you patronize our local businesses by purchasing take out.
We are a strong community and we will get through this. We need to think of our neighbors and our community. If you have an elderly neighbor, please check in on them - make a phone call.
