Mayors Message
Isn’t it great that we get fresh starts once in a while? January is always a time for resolutions and positive thinking, a time to do a little better, and be a little better.
One of my goals this year is to be better at communicating. I have learned that communication is more than sharing a message, it is also listening. As mayor of this great Village, I have always tried to be available to all residents. I give out my cell phone number (614 560-5754) and answer my office emails (rmartin@westjeffersonohio.gov) and voice mails (614 879-7674) personally. Whenever I am made aware of an issue, I do my best to find a workable solution, or to get the right people to work to find one. But, just like each of you, I can’t fix things that I don’t know about, and some things aren’t an easy or quick fix.
So, if you have a great idea, or need some information, or don’t understand why something is happening, give me a call, or make time for a visit. I’m an optimist, and I think 2023 is going to be a great year here in the Village of West Jefferson!
