July Mayor's Message

We are half-way through our Friday Night Uptown’s for 2025, and I sure had a good time at the car show. Beautiful vehicles, and a really great evening. I love getting a chance to check

out all the cars, and especially choosing the Mayor’s Choice winner. Still waiting on my ride. . .

We have some great events coming up this month in the Village. They are:

July 4: Village offices closed.

July 7: Village Council Meeting, 7:00 pm at the Community Center

July 9: Planning Commission Meeting, 5:30 pm at the Community Center

July 9: Jefferson Township Board of Trustees Meeting, 6:30 pm at Township Hall, 225 Cemetery

July 12: Fishing Derby 10am-noon at Krazy Glue Pond.

July 18: : Friday Night Uptown, 6- 10:30 pm on Center Street

July 21: Village Council Meeting, 7:00 pm at the Community Center

July 23: Jefferson Township Board of Trustees Meeting, 6:30 pm at Township Hall, 225 Cemetery

Lunch & Learn, a free summer S.T.E.M. program is every M,Tu and Th June 2-August 7. Free lunch and activities for all kids 0-18 at the Community Center, 11:30 am-1 pm.

Streetfest 2025 July 2-4, food, rides, music, parade (July 4, 11am) and fireworks! (July 4, 10:00pm). Hours are 5-10pm on July 2 & 3, noon-10:30pm July 4. Behind Huntington Bank.

The biggest event is the July 4th Streetfest put on by the Streetfest committee. Of course, there will be fireworks on Friday the 4th in addition to all the other terrific activities.

This month’s Friday Night Uptown will feature Cram the Cruiser, collecting school supplies, and there will be lots of water activities for the kids. Summer is great for the parks, the pool and construction! Lots of projects going on this year. A little pain and inconvenience now will really pay off in the end. Have a great month!
