June Mayor's Message

This past month has been a busy one as school finished and spring and summer

activities got rolling. On May 7 we were privileged to have the Light Ohio Blue Memorial Caravan

travel through West Jefferson. That was a tremendous way to honor fallen officers and their families.

It seems like summer has been slow to start this year. We had to delay the pool opening due to the cold weather, but the promised sunshine and warmer days are coming. Pretty soon the air conditioners will be blasting, popsicles will be dripping and the pool and parks will be full every day and evening. Phase two of three is in full swing at Converse Park, and by the end of this phase we have new facilities and new playground equipment, and some not so obvious

infrastructure work as well.

Enjoy the longer days, enjoy the wonderful Village programs and events, the parks and the pool, and make some terrific summer memories.
