June Mayor's Message

This time of year, we celebrate graduates, at all levels. Our high school graduates are preparing for college, joining the full-time workforce, or perhaps the military. Fifth graders are moving on to the bigger demands of middle school, eighth graders to high school, and preschool and kindergartners are taking their next steps towards greater learning. Older students may be graduating from college, ready to take their next steps into the real adult world. Here at Village Hall, we have had our first graduate from our tuition reimbursement program, my assistant who received her MBA, which will be an asset for our office in the years to come. Congratulations to all!

This month’s Friday Night Uptown is one of my personal favorites, the Cruisin’ with the Mayor Car Show. We will have the chance to see some pretty amazing vehicles, get some food truck favorites and listen to awesome music. The best part of these events is having the chance to see so many friends in one place having a great time and relaxing together.

June is also for having a fun time at our parks and at the pool with my grand kids. Hope to see you there!
